First time I am standing in, so feels strange to be out on a Tuesday. Thanks to Phsssthpok for a grid that really had me at my wits’ end!! Had to get some help for the parsing of some clues but at the end of it, felt like a really good challenge.

Bradman’s puzzle today was teasingly difficult. I solved it in 2 sittings amidst a very hectic day at work so probably didnt stand to appreciate it as much others might have. Thanks to the Don for a mostly straightforward solve.

A very good and interesting puzzle. Some puzzles contain a string of traditional cryptic constructions and feel a bit workmanlike. Alberich puts together a set of traditional cryptic constructions and the result is fresh and entertaining. I can’t put my finger on what makes the difference. No doubt that that explains why I just blog the these puzzles not set them.

I’m stuck on 6 across, any help appreciated. Thanks Alberich.

Unusual to see Mudd on Friday but a very welcome (if somewhat scary) setter nevertheless. I found his challenge today to be more approachable than some of his earlier ones. Clean cluing and neat surfaces meant a pleasurable solve this morning.

A brilliant stunner of an FT challenge!! Wanderer – If you are reading this, take a bow! I dont think I can adequately extol the attributes of this puzzle but suffices to say that I shall eagerly await more grids from this setter.
