I enjoyed this just as much the second time around and while I ticked many others, my favourite remained the same: CROSSWORD EDITOR for the use of Diderot.
This was Julius in sparkling form and so a fitting tribute to the late Colin Inman.
Thanks both for a second bite of the cherry.
What Diane said. Plus, I was happy to remember NELLIE the elephant from first time (about the only one, though!)
I didn’t start looking at FT crosswords until later than Feb 23 so this was new to me.
Liked: CROSSWORD EDITOR, JANE EYRE, HOVE, WADHURST, AGORA
Thanks Julius and Pete
Thanks for the original blog , a nice touch from the FT to repeat this great tribute from Julius .
KenMac made an announcement on this site about Colin and I noticed one thing in particular .
When he started in 1979 the FT had THREE setters , look at the quality and range now . It says it all .
I enjoyed this and hadn’t solved it previously. It was quite straightfoward but entertaining nonetheless. I didn’t spot the blatant nina.
Likes: TRAIN SET, JANE EYRE, WADHURST and CLUELESS.
Pete, this isn’t a prize puzzle
