This morning’s puzzle is not available on the FT website yet. I will give it some time before I go out and trying to find somewhere with a paper copy of the FT.
What a palaver! The puzzle was not on the FT website today and the paper copy contains two mistakes in the grid, and one clue I cannot solve. A special thank you to Stephen for posting a scanned image of the puzzle that enabled me to write this post.
Tougher than the average Tuesday with some challenging multiple wordplays and a theme thrown in for fun.
A challenging opener to Fridays of the New Year from Alberich, thanks to whom for providing a riveting session of mental gymnastics this morning. Did have a couple of words that I needed to clarify with google.

My last blog for 2016 and a pleasurable solve at that, with Bradman serving up a delectable challenge. Thanks Bradman for an apt finish to the 2016 work week.
My heart sank when I first saw this, not least because I immediately realised that, due to the nature of the puzzle, I wouldn’t be able to use PeeDee’s excellent blogging software, and that I would have to do this blog the long-winded way, so please excuse any formatting issues, as I am not used to blogging this way.
I find some of Dante’s clues quite brilliant, but then some of them I just don’t get at all. Happily the balance always falls down on the positive side for me, so I’m still a happy bunny. Thanks Dante.

Started at midnight in bed, finished at breakfast the next day – but did a lot of sleeping in between!
