A themed offering from relative newbie Dice. It took me ages to see the parsing of NOTE, and some of the charade clues took some untangling, but the theme of EDUCATION helped. You could possibly argue for ANGLE, ELEMENT and FAIL to be theme words, but that may be a bit of a stretch.

Two days left here until school returns and I haven’t lost too many braincells because this was a rare time I noticed the theme.
Like the blogger the last one in NOTE took a little bit of thinking.
A few trickier parsings than I would usually expect from Dice but the theme helped a lot.
