That video doesn’t inspire much confidence, to be honest. For example, the illustration of a Guardian grid is no such thing (2-letter answers, long strings of unchecked squares etc) and the obvious text-to-speech narration doesn’t lead one to think that any genuine expertise is behind it.
The clue-a-day solving site that the video is trying to encourage you to use asks you to provide your email address, whereupon you’re emailed a code that you have to provide in order to join up. This really should not be necessary – see Parseword and Minute Cryptic.

Can’t disagree with the previous commenters. If there is one thing to turn me right off, it is seeing a meaningless supposed cryptic crossword grid assembled by someone who clearly has no idea of how one works. To have one in something supposedly aimed at cryptic crossword fans is on the verge of insulting. Not really sure this deserves promotion here tbh. There are better alternatives out there.
