What a fantastic weekend.

Friday

Great venue – Bishopthorpe Sports & Social Club
Great food – best pork pies I’ve ever had
Tough quiz but very well put together
Great band – absolutely excellent performance – pity I didn’t catch their name
Great dancing (from some)
Great beer – the Nimrod was superb

Saturday

Good venue but a pity we couldn’t all be in the same room at Fox and Roman
Good chilli con carne and chilli sin carne for lunch
Great company
Good selection of crosswords and quizzes
Nice speech by the birthday boy – click here for a critique
Great curry at Woodthorpe Spice in the evening – I wonder how often they get a request for a table for 32
