This crossword from Wiglaf caused some difficulty, partly no doubt as a result of my lack of familiarity with its theme, but apart from one or two niggles everything seemed to be sound enough and generally I enjoyed it.
Decent Tuesday puzzle with some easy-reading (in a good way) surfaces from Jason.
As often, Pasquale throws in a few obscurities – two completely new words and several only vaguely recognised, all gettable in the end thanks to the clueing. Favourites were 11ac, 13ac, 8dn and 14dn.
Well it’s Monday and Hoskins, much needed relief after a weekend in York. The Indy web site gremlins seem to have struck again but the puzzle is now up.
