I greatly admire the economy of Filbert’s cluing – there are absolutely no wasted words here –
Only Bluejacket’s second appearance in the Independent after a debut last month. I blogged that first puzzle and said very positive things about it, and I’m about to do the same for this one.
There have not been many outings for Maize in the last few years.
Let’s hope we get to see more like this …

Stamp has provided today’s puzzle and is one of those setters whose work I have the least experience of solving and blogging.
A puzzle by Eccles in the Independent on Wednesday is now becoming a tradition.
I believe this is the third Independent puzzle from Lette, whose first was in January.
