Good stuff from Rufus today, with the usual cryptic/double defs and nautical references. I particularly liked the definitions in 13ac, 25ac, 16dn and 17dn.

Not easy, even with the (excellent) long clues falling quite early on, and a lot to like. I could mention almost every clue – lots of deceptive surfaces and definitions, and clever little tricks. Top three favourites: 27ac, 4dn and possibly 20dn…

Got into this quickly, then got a little stuck on the last few. Lots of nice (and typically Paul) clues – my favourite might be 24dn.

I found this tough to get through – after the few easier clues went in, there was a lot of guessing from checking letters and trying to make the wordplay fit. Really enjoyed 9ac, 8dn and 14dn.

Enjoyed this puzzle from Chifonie, nicely clued with some lovely surfaces and not too difficult. Favourites were 2d and 5d.

Found this enjoyable and tough – got stuck in the west half of the grid, but Chifonie’s usual neat clueing got me there in the end. 20ac last in, and probably my favourite.
