It is with great sadness that I have to pass on the news that the great Dac is no longer with us. He lost his battle with cancer at the weekend. I’m sure many people will have noticed that he hasn’t appeared in the Indy for the last two months, but he had asked me not to mention his illness here.

I’m running another live stream this Wednesday 17th October, from 4pm UK time. We won’t be building a crossword this time. Instead, it’s a chance to discuss and work on clueing technique. So if you have a clue or clues you’ve been working on and feel unsure about, this might be a good opportunity to get the thoughts of the cryptic-loving community.

My thanks to those who have taken the time to add a comment to this post for your useful feedback. On re-reading the comments, my impression is that the majority are in favour of maintaining the status quo (not that I had any intention of changing anything significantly unless it was absolutely necessary).
